Program:

     The meeting started with a discussion of the opportunity for our club to have an exhibit at the

Master Gardeners garden tour in Middlebury July 8, 2017. Although this falls on the weekend of

the MABA (Mid-America Bonsai Alliance) Cenvention, which Larry strongly recommended all of

those interested in bonsai attend, John said that, since the convention will be held July 7 and 8, and

he will only be attending the first day, he would be avilable to man the exhibit. Thus, it was agreed

that we would participate in the garden tour.

     The dicussion then turned to Fall care and winter storage of our specimens. Watering, fertilization

(or, lack thereof) and protection from wind and low temperatures was discussed. In addition, Larry

offered all attendees a handout covering bonsai care from October through December.

     Before departing everyone had some local apple cider and a Krispy Creme donut and was reminded

that next month's meeting (November 13) at Larry's home will start at 1:00 with lunch served.
