Minutes of the November 5, 2023 meeting of the Michiana Bonsai Study  

Present:      Larry Benjamin, Rose Benjamin, Diane Buday, Tom Buday, Lisa Chilik, Michael Ciesiolka, John Deguara,

                       Monica Deguara, John DeMaegd, Mary Hesser, Kevin Mann, Terry Mersich, Al Whitfield and Norris Whitfield

Location:    Ho Ping Place restaurant, South Bend

Program:

            We began our end-of-year social meeting by enjoying the Chinese cuisine. As we finished, Larry presided over a short business

meeting. After a financial report, we voted on the nominees for the three 2024 club officers: president, vice president and secretary.

Those elected were: president - Larry Benjamin; vice president: John DeMaegd; secretary: Lisa Chilik.

     Lastly, our white elephant gift exchange was conducted. It featured several "steals" before everyone ended up with their treasure.

Our club will next meet in February, 2024, with a program on bonsai tree photography presented by Tim Priest, a bonsai hobbyist

from Grand Rapids who owns several outstanding trees and works as a professional photographer.
