Minutes of the March 11, 2012 meeting of the Michiana Bonsai Study

Present:        My-Shaun Beam, Larry Benjamin, Michele Curtis, Maggie DeMaegd, John DeMaegd,

Bruce Kennady, Mary Morgan, Cat Nelson,  Erik Runyon (& sons), and Sue Salach

Location:        Linton’s Enchanted Gardens, County Road 17, Elkhart

Snacks:         Sue Salach  (Thank you for the delicious treats!)

Program:       Hypertufa pot construction.  Most of us made hypertufa pots from Portland cement,

               peat moss, Perlite, reinforcing fibers and acrylic concrete fortifier. Erik Runyon took

               honors with the most pots and Bruce Kennedy the biggest!  (We will have to wait to

               hear how well they survive the process of extraction from their molds.)
