19, 2014 meeting
of the Michiana Bonsai Study

Program: We viewed and discussed an Amewrican Bonsai Society program, "Pot It Up", which
went over the selection of the most suitable pot for a given bonsai specimen. In addition,
we reviewed potential programming for the two open dates on our 2014 schedule: March
and June. We are looking for possible collecting sites for the March meeting. It was agreed that
we may have to collect later in the month, depending on the weather. If the weather is not
conducive to collecting on the ninth, our meeting then could include an additional ABS program
as well as a discussion of an appropriate later date on which to collect. As for the June meeting,
it was suggested that we hold a BYOT workshop at the Potawatomi Park Conservatory open to
the public, advertised as an opportunity to allow the community to know more about us.
