Program:

            Our guest bonsai artist, Pauline Muth, used a Power Point presentation as well as some live trees

    to illustrate factors to consider in the design of bonsai trees. Besides stressing the basic aspects such

   as trunk size and taper, nebari,  scalene triangular shape, the value of negative space and foliage pads,

   Paulene pointed out the importance of aesthetics in the creation of bonsai. Her program covered many

   aspects of bonsai design - too many to be included here. Thus, all current members will be sent her file
