Minutes of the June 3, 2018 meeting of the Michiana Bonsai Study

 Program:

This was a BYOT event. Mary arrived a little late after coming all the way from the

 Bloomington area where her son had just gotten married. (Congratulations !) The other

three of us worked on trees. Cody re-potted the tree that he won in April. John re-potted

a variegated Ficus while Larry worked on his American larch and a trunk-over-rock

trident maple. Later, we stopped for refreshments and flipped a coin to determine whether

a tree was to be awarded that day. (With 2 trees remaining and 4 meetings, the chances

were 50-50.) Unfortunately for John and Mary (those elgible), the call was heads but it

came up tails. So, with only three remaining meetings, there will be a 2 out of 3 chances

that a tree will be awarded in September!
