11, 2015 meeting
of the Michiana Bonsai Study

The meeting began with some hot mulled cider while we talked, paid dues and perused our club library to check out books and magazines to read over the next couple of winter months. The first order of business was just that - some needed club business. Larry had gone over our club charter and found a number of places he suggested we edit it to bring it in line with current practice. After a short discussion, those present voted to incorporate those changes in an ammended charter. Since our charter requires that changes be approved at two consecutive meetings, we will vote on this again in February. Next, we voted to retain our past dues assessment amounts in 2015. Finally, we decided to make our February topic bonsai maintance, including factors such as watering, fertilizing, rotation, and other practices necessary to keep our trees healthy.
The topic of the day was bonsai wiring. We viewed and discussed an ABS Power Point preentation on wiring, which covered the basics. Both John and Kathy cited website locations (blogs) which gave tips on wiring technique. So, for those of you who missed the meeting and want information on wiring, do a Goggle search and see what you cn find.
