Program:
The day featured scattered showers so we met in Larry's garage. Almost all of us had trees that needed work so we kept busy
repotting and pruning our trees. About three fourths of the way through the meeting most of us took a break to enjoy the
snacks provided by Mary Hesser. The main business of the day included announcements of upcoming activities. Steve Moore
told us of the Cherry Blossom Festival (virtual) presentation on May 16. He also invited us to come to the Ft. Wayne club's
spring show the previous day, May 15, from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM at the Ft. Wayne Botanical Conservatory. And, also at the
Conservatory on June 19 Steve announced that Mark Fields, American Bonsai Society president will present a program on
bonsai display. Larry mentioned that this program should be helpful to prepare us to exhibit trees at this summer's Wellfield
Botanic garden bonsai show which will be held on July 31 and August 1. Finally, we were also reminded that our club is
invited to join the Ft. Wayne club for their annual auction and picnic which will be held on July 17 this year.
